Open your binder and measure the width and height.
Add 12 inches to the width and 2 inches to the height. Write these measurements down.
Cut 2 pieces of fabric with these measurements. (Mine were 34″ X 13 5/8″)
Next, pin the two pieces of fabric right sides together.
Using a 5/8″ seam allowance, stitch around the edge, leaving a 4″ opening on one short side. (Remember to back stitch at the beginning and end)
Trim the corners, but be careful not to cut your stitching lines.
Turn it right side out through your 4″ opening.
Hand stitch the opening closed.
Place your open binder on your cover, centered, and fold each end in.
Pin the top and bottom edges. Fold the binder closed to make sure the cover is not too tight. Adjust as necessary.
Remove the binder.
Stitch very close to the top and bottom edges. Make sure to back stitch.

This would be a great project to add personalization like embroidery or other embellishment!
